Liam Pope enjoys his new role at LVS Ascot

Liam Pope, former LVS Hassocks pupil,  has joined the LVS Ascot catering team.

He went at LVS Hassocks boarding school from the age of 15 which is a little village located 20 miles north of Brighton off the M23.

It's thanks to a meeting with Chef Paul Rankin that Liam decided to pursue his career in catering. Paul Rankin explained in his speech how to become a chef.

"As part of the residential and independent living side of school life we had to prepare our own evening meals much like as if you were in your own home. Each day I looked forward to getting into the kitchen and preparing these meals and feeding my new found love for cooking quality food" said Liam.

Under the supervision of his domestic science teacher, with support from Sodexo catering staff, Liam attained his NVQ level 1 Professional Cookery and Hospitality.

The catering team at LVS Ascot have supported and guided him in order to attain his NVQ level 2.

"Working with Sodexo and to enhance my career further I have entered for junior chef of the year competition at the Salon Culinaire 2015. Working with the chefs at LVS Ascot who are the leaders in the medal stakes at the salon and with their guidance I am very confident I will add a medal to this ever growing bounty" said Liam.
