After a summer upgrade to the kitchen and dining facilities, Independents by Sodexo began service at Brentwood School, Essex, at the start of the new academic year.
Managing director, Jeremy Alderton, said he was delighted to begin the new partnership and added “We look forward to implementing our ‘fresh food from scratch’ catering ethos, offering nutritious and seasonal menu options cooked by our highly skilled chefs.”
Independents by Sodexo took over the contract on 1 July and, over the summer holiday, the kitchen and dining room facilities were upgraded ready for the new academic year. The new service provides pupils and staff with a wide range of dishes with an emphasis on fresh, nutritious and seasonal food catering for over 1,500 day and boarding pupils between the ages of three and 18, as well as providing catering and hospitality for school events.
Ian Davies, headmaster at Brentwood School said: “We were impressed by Sodexo’s approach and innovative, healthy menus and are confident that the whole school community will benefit greatly from the team’s culinary expertise. We look forward to a successful working partnership”.
