Violeta
Head Chef
Violeta is one of the Sodexo Head Chefs in our Independent School division; she leads the kitchen teams at Woodlands Academy, a private boarding school for girls in Co Wicklow.
Violeta first joined Sodexo in early 2006 as a Food Service Assistant, having worked for 10 years on the service side of the restaurant industry as a server in a busy restaurant. She found her position with Sodexo at Woodlands Academy shortly after arriving to Ireland from her native Lithuania. And she starting helping out in the kitchen, discovering her passion for food preparation, when the opportunity arose.
Since 2008 Violeta has been a full time chef, learning a large portion of her craft from her predecessor at the school and in 2009 she took over as Head Chef creating healthy and varied dishes for the students daily. At home Violeta is also motivated to cook kid-centric by her own daughter and she enjoys combining dishes from different cultures and backgrounds!
