Applicants, employees and casual workers must be willing to undergo child protection screening applicable to the post, including checks with past employers, an enhanced check and check of the relevant barring list with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and an overseas check, where applicable.
It is the employee or casual’s worker responsibility to promote and safeguard the welfare of children with whom they come into contact with, as follows:
Protecting children from maltreatment
Preventing impairment of children’s health or development
Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes
