Phyllis Street, catering Manager in Emanuel School, regularly uses social media including Instagram to keep the school up to date. It’s a way to connect with her younger pupils in years 6 to 10.
During Wasteless Week and Fairtrade Fortnight she asked them to send her a photo of their empty plates for the chance to win a tuck shop voucher.
Furthermore, she uses it to introduce her new Chefs by posting a photo of them and by explaining their role in the team.
On Twitter 2EatEmanuel uses Instagram photos to showcase the catering at events such as Little Shop of Horrors and for the Rock'n'Roll American lunch.
Social media is an easy way to promote our activities to the whole school community.
